PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for coating which is curable at ordinary temperature, forming a coated film excellent in adhesion to steel plate, corrosion resistance and weather resistance, etc. SOLUTION: This coating composition comprises (A) a water dispersant of resin obtained by dispersing (a) an epoxy resin having one or more epoxy groups in one molecule and (b) an organosilane represented by the general formula (1): R<1> n Si(OR<2> )4-n [wherein R<1> is a 1-8C organic group; R is a 1-5C alkyl group; n is 1 or 2] and/or its partially hydrolyzed condensation product into water and (B) an amino group-containing compound into water and (B) an amino group-containing compound.
