PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a transfer image having a high storage stability such as a water resistance or the like by forming a highly minute recording image by an ink jet method, and thermally transferring the recording image to a material to be transferred. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording transfer medium comprises a protective layer releasable from a base and an ink acceptive layer sequentially formed on at least one surface of the base. The protective layer contains a flexible resin or particularly a resin having a 100%-modulus specified according to JIS K 6301 of 100 kg/cm<2> or less as a main component. The ink acceptive layer contains a hydrophilic polymer (a polyvinyl alcohol, a polyvinylpyrrolidone, a cellulose derivative or their modified materials or the like) and thermoplastic organic fine particles. Further, the ink acceptive layer may contain a crosslinker, a plasticizer and a dye fixing agent. |
