PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for controlling a power source in which a plurality of power source devices can be easily switched, and the supply voltage can be reliably stopped when any abnormality occurs. SOLUTION: A power source selection switch 2004 is used to select one of the power source devices 1020. A voltage threshold setter 2008 sets the voltage threshold Vt for determining whether or not the supply voltage V is abnormal. A time threshold setter 2010 sets the time threshold Tt1 for determining whether or not the supply voltage V is abnormal. A threshold-deviation-number setter 2012 sets the threshold-deviation-number Ct1 for determining whether or not the supply voltage V is abnormal. A control unit 2028 counts the occurrence of the phenomenon in which a condition of the supply voltage V being not more than the voltage threshold Vt continues for at least the time threshold Tt1, and determines that an abnormality occurs when the counted number is not less than the threshold-deviation-number Ct1.
