PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an aqueous paint thick film coated Al alloy sheet suitable for a lid or the like of a carbonated beverage can severely requiring corrosion resistant. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the aqueous coating thick film coated Al alloy sheet by applying an aqueous coating to at least the single surface of an Al alloy sheet to which chromate treatment is applied and successively passing the coated Al alloy sheet through drying, baking and trimming processes before winding the same into a coil, the aqueous coating is applied in a thickness of 90-150 mg/dm<2> as a coating weight after drying and trimming width is set to 5-50 mm at both ends of the coated Al alloy sheet. Since the aqueous coating is applied in a thickness of 90-150 mg/dm<2> as a coating weight after drying, the obtained aqueous coating thick film coated Al alloy plate has excellent corrosion resistance. Since the trimming width after the application of the aqueous coating is set to 5-50 mm at both ends of the coated Al alloy plate, the build-up parts of the aqueous coating generated in both ends of the coated Al alloy plate are properly removed, coil winding is well performed and productivity is excellent. By heat-treating both ends of the coated Al alloy plate after trimming to remove residual strain at the time of trimming, curl of chips is suppressed and press processing is well performed. |
