PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a GPS navigation device having a new function capable of automatically generating a route which linearly connects a starting point, with specified points and a destination through an easy operation with a route data which is stored with a trucking function. SOLUTION: A TRACK list display is read out from a MENU display through a specified operation and a desired TRACK name is specified form the list. When the kind of specified points is selected through a specified operation and conversion from TRACK to ROUTE is indicated, the START POINT of the specified TRACK name, the specifically selected point, and the positional data of the DESTINATION POINT are extracted and the interpolation data for linearly connecting these in a time-series sequence is generated, thus constituting a ROUTE for navigation. Conventionally, the route is selected with a POINT unit, but the GPS navigation converts the route automatically in a batch, so that operation for generating the route is made remarkably easy. |
