PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for stereoregularα-olefin polymerization that is prepared using a transition metal compound in the group 7 of the periodic table, a catalyst component for the stereoregularα-olefin polymerization to be used for preparing the polymerization catalyst and a method of producing stereoregularα-olefin polymer by using the polymerization catalyst. SOLUTION: The catalyst component for stereoregularα-olefin polymerization includes a transition metal compound represented by general formula [1] or [2] [wherein M is a transition metal atom in group 7 of the periodic table; L is a neutral ligand bonding to M through an unshared electron pair or aπ-electron; Z represents a group represented by the formula (wherein Z<1> is an atom in group 13-15; Z<2> is an atom in group 13-15; and Z<3> is an atom in group 15; J in general formula [2] is a bridge group connecting two of Ms and h is the number of the bridges connecting two of Ms and an integer of 1-3)].
