PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately determining the quantity of carbon black regarding a rubber composition comprising rubber containing hetero atoms where the quantity of carbon black cannot be determined easily. SOLUTION: In the method far determining the quantity of carbon black in a rubber composition comprising rubber containing hetero atoms, a weight decrease percentage (S) when weight essentially starts to decrease and a weight decrease percentage (E) when weight decrease finally reaches a steady state are read. A weight decrease percentage (Rn) at each weight measurement point is converted to a conversion weight decrease percentage Cn. A Weibull distribution diagram is created by a temperature T ( deg.C) at each weight measurement point of the second stage and the Cn. The intersection of two straight lines having different gradients in the obtained Weibull distribution diagram is obtained. Then, the amount of carbon black is obtained from the Y coordinates in the intersection.
