摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for obtaining results of short-range measurement, large-vertical-angle measurement, and boundary measurement, when a distance is measured by an electronic distance meter. SOLUTION: A portion of a pole 3 is notched to expose the intersection of the horizontal mounting axis 2 for a reflection prism 12 and the vertical axis 1 of the pole 3. The exposed intersection of the vertical axis 1 and the horizontal axis 2 is collimated by a telescope, which is then fixed. A mark is drawn on the surface of the reflection prism 12. When the mark coincides with a cross line of the collimation axis of the telescope, correct facing is confirmed. In preparation for visibility disturbance, a structure which is slidable vertically, is prepared. An observer aligns a cross line of a telescope of a total station with an observation point of the correctly facing device, and orders a holder to make the correctly facing device direct to the telescope, and to rotate it until the cross line coincides with the mark on the surface of the reflection prism 12. After visual recognition, measurement buttons of the total station or the like are pushed.
