PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily treatable compound, and to provide a composition including the compound, wherein the cured products therefrom have excellent curability, surface hardness, heat resistance and small curing shrinkage rate. SOLUTION: This compound is a di(meth)acrylic ester represented by the formula (1) [in the formula (1), R is a (branched) lower alkylene; R1 is H or methyl; and the average of (a+b) is 2-10] and the curable composition includes the compound.
