The valve control for an internal combustion engine has an electromagnet (28) controlling the movement of an actuator rod (34) fixed to the valve. The drive is set to leave a play between the rod and valve when the latter is closed. A closure current is fed to the solenoid to exert a bias force on the valve after the commencement of the opening signal of the valve. |
