PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative-working photosensitive original plate for planographic printing plate having good adhesion of a photosensitive layer to a support, excellent in printing resistance and capable of forming an image of excellent image quality free of stains on non-image areas. SOLUTION: The original plate is characterized in having a diazo resin-base photosensitive layer containing a negative-working photosensitive diazo compound on a support having a hydrophilic surface in which a hydrophilic graft polymer chain exists. The hydrophilic surface is selected from between (a) a hydrophilic surface disposed on the surface of the support using a polymer having a hydrophilic graft polymer chain linked to a backbone high molecular compound and (b) a hydrophilic surface disposed on the surface of the support using a composition comprising a hydrophilic polymer having crosslinkable groups at the ends of the polymer and a crosslinker. |
