ELASTIC SLEEPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic sleeper excellent in vibration absorbability together with simplification of construction process. SOLUTION: For the elastic sleeper for a railroad of which the lower end part is buried in a concrete track bed or a ballast bed, a sleeper body arranged so as to support a rail from the lower side is fitted into the interior of an elastic cover material of a box shape of which a lock part disposed in the upper part of the elastic cover material molded with an elastic material is nearly the same as or a little smaller than the outward form of the sleeper body in the state that the upper face of the sleeper body is locked on at least one part of the periphery of the sleeper body. And, a recessed part for run out for deformation of the elastic material by the load applied on the sleeper body is formed on an inner wall face supporting the base face and/or the side face of the sleeper body of the elastic cover material.
