PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determination method for the sputum of a periodontitis patient comprising measuring the liver cell growth factor concentration in a test sputum. SOLUTION: According to this method, since the progress of periodontitis can be easily and quickly judged without applying a load to the patient, a precise treatment can be performed.
