PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection structure for stroboscope for protecting a fresnel lens from any colliding matter by using an engagement part formed on a conventional optical system housing, forming a frame having a projecting part to be engaged with the engagement part of the housing, and then, mounting the frame on the front side of the fresnel lens. SOLUTION: A stroboscope which is mechanically and electrically connected to a camera and emits flash light interlocking with the operation of the camera is characterized in that the stroboscope has such the protection structure that the frame for protecting the front surface of the fresnel lens of the stroboscope is attached to the light emitting system housing of the stroboscope.
