PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article storage device simple in constitution and capable of folding a suspension member in a specified state. SOLUTION: This article storage device 10 has a deposit and delivery conveyor 20 to place a plural number of the articles in the carrying direction, a plural number of elevating frames 30 to scrape up a plural number of the articles on the deposit and delivery conveyor 20 and the suspension member 42 to suspend the elevating frames 30 with specified intervals and is devised to make a plural number of the elevating frames 30 stand by in an accumulated state below a carrier surface of the deposit and delivery conveyor 20, and it is provided with a deadweight 46 to energize it to fold the suspension member 42 in the specified state in the state where the elevating frames 30 are accumulated.
