PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyketone fiber that is chromatically or achromatically colored intrinsically in no need of a long hour operation of dyeing, washing and waste solution treatment and is useful as an industrial material of high strength, high elastic modulus and high melting point. SOLUTION: The polyketone fiber includes dyes and/or pigments in an amount of 0.1-10 mass % where the size of the fine particles of the dyes and/or pigments is <=2 μm in the fiber, while the length at the longest part of the crude particles is >=5 μm and the number of the crude particles is <=3 per 10,000 μm<2> of the fiber cross section. This fiber is produced by using a dope that is prepared by dissolving the polyketone polymer in a solvent in which the dyes and/or the pigments are dispersed. |
