PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack-assist type electric power steering device improved in an electric motor supporting method thereof. SOLUTION: The electric motor 35 is fastened to a rack and pinion housing 21 through a bolt by a gear housing 31 at a right end in a figure, and supported by a motor bracket 61 extended from the rack and pinion housing 21 at a left end in the figure. The motor bracket 61 holds an elastic support ring 65 made of the synthetic rubber, and the electric motor 35 is elastically supported through this elastic support ring 65.
