PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the mold clamping device of a casting mold having a small scale and constituted of a reduced number of parts. SOLUTION: The mold clamping device of the casting mold assembled so as to be capable of being split up and down is equipped with a base member, a C-shaped arm member comprising an upper jaw part, a lower jaw part and the connection part for connecting these jaw parts, a drive means performing the rotary movement and up and down movement of the arm member and a support member for supporting the arm member. The upper or lower jaw part is rotationally moved by the drive means so as to be supperposed on the outside of the casting mold and moved up and down after rotary movement and the casting mold is held under pressure between the upper or the lower jaw part and the base member to perform mold clamping.
