PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save time and labor in positioning hunger-holes and pin-holes of an engine in a system for clamping the engine to an assembling palette utilizing the hunger-holes of the engine. SOLUTION: The engine W is clamped to the palette side by inserting a fixing shaft 3 into the hunger-holes of the engine W and setting the fixing shaft 3 in a approximately U-shape groove 5m of a shaft support member 5 in the palette side. In order to prevent the coming-off of the fixing shaft 3 from the approximately U-shape groove 5m, pawl members 9 enforced by compression springs 10 cover the top of the approximately U-shape groove 5m, and the axial movement of the fixing shaft 3 is prevented by positioning flanges 14 provided on the fixing shaft 3.
