PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste toner collection device which has superior maintainability by making large-sized a collection container in which waste toner is collected and prevents image formation processing using an image carrier from being impeded by precisely detecting a waste-toner fullness state. SOLUTION: The waste toner T scraped off a photosensitive body 21 with a cleaning blade 24 freely falls into the collection container 25 through an intake of the collection toner 25 and is collected. In the collection container 25, a rotary shaft 262 is provided below the intake 253 and horizontally (+Y) off the waste toner T which freely falls and fitted with a flap 263; as the amount of deposits of the freely falling toner T increases, the flap 263 is displaced by rotating as shown by R and a photointerrupter detects that to detect the fullness state of the waste toner. |
