PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of fitting a silencer for a photoreceptor drum, by which the silencer is smoothly and surely inserted in the photoreceptor drum, and to provide the silencer for the photoreceptor drum used in the same. SOLUTION: In the method of fitting the silencer 100 which contacts with the inner peripheral surface of the photoreceptor drum 12 closely and damps the vibration generated in the photoreceptor drum 12, the silencer 100 is constituted of a cylindrical body 101 having a diameter corresponding to the inner peripheral face of the photoreceptor drum 12, and a part 102 to be butted is provided at the end part or in the vicinity of the end part in the inserting direction of the cylindrical body 101, and the silencer 100 is inserted into the photoreceptor drum 12 by pushing the part 102 to be butted. |
