PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking guiding unit which is able to specify a direction where an obstacle is locating to a vehicle and to help guiding parking operation of the vehicle's driver by improving reliability compared with a conventional one. SOLUTION: The parking guiding unit 100 is equipped with ultrasonic sonar 111-114 to be located at the direction of travel of an end part on the right side to the direction of travel, at the right side to the direction of travel of an end part of the direction of travel, at the left side to the direction of travel of the end part of the direction of travel, and at the direction of travel of the end part of the left side to the direction of travel, an obstacle detection means 121 to detect whether if there is an obstacle on both the right side and the left side of the direction of travel to the vehicle based on the received result of the ultrasonic sonar 111-114, and a contact determination means 122 to determine whether if the vehicle contacts the obstacle based on the detected result of the obstacle detection means 121 and received result of the ultrasonic sonar 111-114.
