PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method to efficiently manufacture a friction plate of a multiple disk clutch in which a friction material is adhered only on one side of a core plate, and also to obtain a device. SOLUTION: A superposed body 25 is formed by laminating two sheets of metal core plate 21 above and below and by putting two sheets of the friction plate 22 respectively between them by applying an adhesive in a space between the core plates. A jig 40 has a guide 42 having a positioning member 41 that regulates the inner periphery of the core plates, an outer periphery regulating part 43 that regulates the outer periphery of the core plates and a support pin 44 erected from the lower end, and the guide 42 is supported by a spring 45 and can move in an opening 47. The superposed body 25 is inserted into a space between the positioning member 41 and the outer periphery regulating part 43, the jig 40 is carried to a heating press 50, the superposed body 25 is heated and pressed by a lower heater (not illustrated) and the heating press, and the friction material is adhered. The thermal conduction during carriage is made minimum since the core plates are supported by the pin 44.
