PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome problems such that struts are provided from side to side in order because heavy equipment, etc., cannot get close to a neighboring line, such that much labor is required due to a construction method in which rubble is accumulated, and such that the take-in/out of equipment and materials, the carrying-in of fill, and the treatment and effective utilization of the rubble are inadequate, in a conventional chipping construction method using the heavy equipment, an excavating drill, etc. SOLUTION: In a construction method for chipping an existing underground structure, a hole is drilled in a part of a slab in the existing underground structure; the equipment and the materials are taken in/out by using the hole; after that, the carrying-in of the fill, and the treatment and effective utilization of the rubble can be carried out; and chipping work is executed upward from the side of an under surface part of the existing underground structure. Thus, the take-in/out of the equipment and the materials, the carrying-in of the fill, the treatment of the rubble and the like can be carried out by using the holes which are drilled in the slabs from a first floor to a floor located above the first floor by several floors, so that the work can be executed and so that working efficiency can be enhanced. The existing underground structure on the neighboring line is surely collapsed; and a new ground structure is surely and simply constructed in a position of the collapse of the existing underground structure after the collapse thereof, so as to utilize land effectively.
