PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recorder which enables a drive unit to be arranged in a position which is apart from a main frame body, while securing the mutual positional accuracy of a platen, a shaft for discharging a material to be recorded and a shaft for carrying the material to be recorded, and which allows the inclination of the platen to be adjusted according to need. SOLUTION: This ink-jet recorder 1 is comprised of the main frame body 33, the platen 30 which is supported on the frame body 33, the shaft for discharging the material to be recorded, which is rotatably supported on the platen 30, the shaft for carrying the material to be recorded, which is rotatably supported on the frame body 33, and the drive unit 50 for rotating both the shafts in an interlocking state. The shaft for discharging the material to be recorded is coupled with the drive unit 50 via a universal joint 60.
