摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ramming material for an induction furnace which enables to simplify construction work of the furnace, improve the packing density, improve the durability of a lining layer and reduce the ramming cost. SOLUTION: The ramming material contains 0.03-0.25 mass% of talc powder, at least 98% of which passes through a sieve with an opening of 0.045 mm. Its main components are a basic ramming material such as a magnesia-based and a magnesia-spinel-based materials, and a neutral ramming material such as an alumina-spinel-based and a spinel-based materials with/without containing a small amount of magnesia-based material.
