PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of image quality caused by pressure variation in a region pertaining to the same side of the inflow port of a coloring agent. SOLUTION: A filter 25 is arranged so as to divide the region within the housing 20 of an ink reservoir 12 nearly in half. An air port 31 is provided so that the region pertaining to the same side of the inflow port 21 relative to the filter 25 communicates with open air. Thus, the air pressure within the region can be satisfactorily released.
