发明名称 STRUCTURE OF LOWER CRANK CASE IN ENGINE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower crank case structure in an engine improved so as to ensure storage amount of oil without upsizing of the engine and also correspond to a belt transmission mechanism without deteriorating maintainability. SOLUTION: In the engine 1 having an upper crank case 17 and a lower crank case 18, a part of the lower crank case is used as an oil storage section, and an overhang part 52 protruding under a crank pulley 8 is formed at an end portion of the lower crank case on the side of the crank pulley 8. By this overhang part 52 formed in a part usually defining a dead space, increase in the size of the engine is prevented and the storage amount of oil can be ensured. Moreover, an oil pan can be constituted regardless of a transmission mechanism disposed between a crankshaft and a camshaft, so that the lower crank case structure can be applied to the belt transmission mechanism without deteriorating the maintenance and maintainability.
