PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide in a simple and inexpensive configuration a circuit for synchronizing a plurality of image data of scanning lines adjacent in a sub- scanning direction which are needed to be synchronized to the same scanning cycle when an image processing such as an edge smoothing is carried out in an image forming device using a plurality of laser beams. SOLUTION: The circuit is constituted of an FIFO 501 which makes the image data CVD1 of the scanning lines outputted beforehand synchronized with image clock signals VCLK2 which has been synchronized with the image data CVD2 of the scanning lines outputted afterwards, serial-parallel converters 505 and 506, and register files 507 508 for temporarily storing the image data synchronized with the image clock signals VCLK2. The register files 505 and 506 are controlled by image clock signals VCLK1.
