PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incinerator in which the complete combustion of refuse can be efficiently carried out and harmful gas such as dioxin is hardly produced. SOLUTION: In the incinerator, an air inlet port 5 is provided on a peripheral wall or/and a top part above the upper limit position of materials to be incinerated which are charged in the furnace 4. A pedestal 10 is provided in the lower side of the furnace 4. On the bottom 8 of the furnace 4, vent openings 9 communicate with a hollow part 11 formed in the pedestal 10. A stack 14 communicating with the hollow part 11 is provided upright on the pedestal 10. In the stack 14, an outlet port 15 is provided for supplying air upward therein.
