PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air textured yarn easy to produce, spin and weave, textile processing, having an elastic function, excellent in comfort of clothing. SOLUTION: This high class yarn having elastic function is obtained by using a thermoplastic fiber having curling elastic property as the central core yarn 3 and proper thermoplastic fibers corresponding to the requirements of the functions of various textiles as the effect yarn 4, 5 as for the sheath yarns wrapping outside, and subjecting the conjugate fiber to an air textured processing. The core yarns are set to have the curling elastic property by melting two kinds of thermoplastic polymers having different shrinkage percentages and then conjugate spinning by a (composite) spinneret. The yarns maintain excellent dimensional stability, easy to produce, useful in spinning industry and apparel industry and having chance of using in industry because the curling property of the elastic air textured yarns is not manifested until subjecting them to a finishing heat treatment.
