METHOD FOR CHARGE DRYING OF PROCESSING UNIT OF PETROLEUM FRACTION USING CHARGE OF LOW WATER CONTENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economic and efficient method with which a hydrocarbon charge is dried at the inlet spot of a processing unit of a petroleum fraction liable to be affected in the presence of water. SOLUTION: A hydrolyzable compound (e.g. ethyl aluminum dichloride) diluted in a 5C or 6C hydrocarbon is poured through piping 6 to piping 4, hydrolyzed with residual water contained in the charge after passing a molecular sieve 3 in a mixer 10. Consequently very slight water is removed before the charge is fed to an isomerization apparatus 13 for a paraffin-based hydrocarbon. The amount of the compound poured is made equal to at least an amount required for subjecting the whole water contained in the charge to hydrolysis reaction with the compound.
