PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the ease of use by opening or closing a lid body quickly and safely when the lid body, for example, in a drying process is locked and cannot be opened in a washing drier for consistently executing operations from washing to drying. SOLUTION: An inner tank 4 having a rotary center axis in a perpendicular direction is supported rotatably in an outer tank 3 that is suspended in an enclosure 1. A lid body 23 for opening or closing an opening that is provided at the enclosure 1 is locked in an open state by a lid-locking apparatus 26. A control means controls such operations as the lid-locking means 26, the inner tank 4 or a motor 10 for driving a rotor 6, a blower 14 for drying that blows hot air into the inner tank 4, a heater 15 for heating the hot air, and a blower 30 for cooling a heat exchanger 12 for controlling such process as washing, rinsing, dewatering, and drying. The control means executes operations for canceling the lid lock when the cancellation of the lid lock is inputted from an input-setting means while the lid body 23 is locked to the closed state.
