PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corset 10 capable of reducing the days necessary for the therapy, for example, necessary for treating the lumbago such as a herniated disk. SOLUTION: The corset comprises a front belt 12 and a back belt 14 extendable in left and right directions and direction changing means 20 for the back belt 14. The direction changing means 20 are mounted on both left and right sides. The front face of the back belt 14 is superposed on the rear face of the front belt 12, and the both belts are fixed to each other with the four side parts as free ends. The both belts have flexibility at least in the left/ right directions. The front belt 12 is wound around a patient's body against the contraction force generated when the belt is extended with the center in the longitudinal direction abutting to the back side of the patient's body such as the waist part, and the end parts of left and right pieces of the front belt 12 are attached to each other with a detachable means such as a hook and loop fastener M on the front side of the patient's body.
