PURPOSE: A method for a web site link and a system therefor are provided to construct a link to a web site using a simple numeral pad in devices such as a set-top box, a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) or a WAP mobile telephone set. CONSTITUTION: A web site link system is placed between a user computer(100) and a web site(300) of a World Wide Web. This system includes a receiving module(5), a search module(7), a response module(9), and a database(11). After the system links with the user computer(100), the receiving module(5) receives a web address requested from the user computer(100). The search module(7) searches data corresponding to the requested web address. The response module(9) makes the user computer(100) link with a web site(300) in accordance with a search result from the search module(7), or responds to the user computer(100). The database(11) corresponds to each IP address and includes a numeric web address having numerals which are located from the left to the right, which correspond to the sequence from high to low classification or hierarchy of the web site(300) sequentially. The search module(7) uses a partial portion or the total portion of the web site(300) requested by a keyword for searching a numeric web address corresponding to keyword search partially or totally.
