PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to mitigate the operating power of a guide wire in a balloon catheter. SOLUTION: In a balloon catheter 1 comprising an outer tube 2 and an inner tube 3 and having a balloon 4 at the leading edge, an extended diameter part 5 is provided in the leading edge 3B of the inner tube inside of the balloon 4. In the extended diameter part 5 a clearance in between of a guide wire 6 to be inserted is enlarged thus to make the operational power of the guide wire 6 to be mitigated. |
