PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a butt from smoldering and generating smoke by enabling an automatic flame extinguishing. SOLUTION: This ash tray device is constituted by installing an endless belt 18 wound on a driving roller 12 and driven roller 13, an endless belt 19 wound on a driven roller 14 and driven roller 15, a rotary belt mechanism 5 as opposing them in a contact state and a driving motor 6 for driving the rotary belt mechanism. In driving the rotary belt mechanism 5, the butt 4 having remaining live fire is thrown in between both of the endless belts 18, 19 from the side that both of the endless belts 18, 19 are closing in each other, and the butt 4 thrown in is nipped by both of the endless belts 18, 19 and conveyed in a state of cutting off with air. The butt extinguished with fire is discharged from the side that the both of the endless belts are leaving each other.
