PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection mat, which can be used also in a waste disposal place at a cold district. SOLUTION: The protection mat is obtained by integrating an intermediate layer with nonwoven fabrics at obverse and reverse surfaces thereof by intermingling each composed fiber of the nonwoven fabrics at both sides thereof by carrying out needle punching treatment, in which the intermediate layer has multifilament yarn of an arrangement density of 20 to 70 pieces/5 cm in one direction. Thus both obverse and reverse surfaces of the intermediate layer have each the nonwoven fabric. Further, the protection mat is expressed by integrating the intermediate layer with the nonwoven fabrics at both obverse and reverse surfaces thereof by intermingling each composed fiber of the nonwoven fabrics at both sides by carrying out needle punching treatment, in which the intermediate layer contains cord fabric wherein warp comprises multifilament yarn and a weave density of the warp is 20 to 70 pieces/5 cm and both sides the intermediate layer have each nonwoven fabric.
