PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive absorbent article easily used with excellent stability, capable of securing the fitness, and easily handled after defecation. SOLUTION: The disposable diaper 10 has a diaper body 14 comprising a liquid permeable surface sheet 11, a non-permeable, leakage-preventive sheet 12, and an absorbent body 13 sandwitched between them. An elastic band body 16 to cover around the waist of a user is attached in a ring shape to a back side part (one end part) 15 in the longitudinal direction of the diaper body 14 on the leakage-preventive sheet 12 side. The elastic band body 16 is fixed to the leakage-preventive sheet 12 at both side parts (flaps) of the back side part 15. The whole elastic band body 16 is reversed to the surface sheet 11 side when the diaper is used. Fastening members 17 for fastening the abdominal side part of the diaper body 14 and the elastic band body 16 are attached at least on one of the abdominal side part (other end part) of the diaper body 14 or the elastic band body 16.
