PURPOSE: A seat with a sliding headrest for a vehicle is provided to improve the stable posture and the comfortable riding of passengers by installing a transferring device supporting appropriately passengers' body in the inside of the seat to slide the headrest from side to side. CONSTITUTION: A seat with a sliding headrest(3) is composed of a supporting rod(100) installed horizontally at the inside of the headrest and formed with sliders(110) in both ends; one end of the supporting rod is inserted into a back supporting seat(2) and the other end is placed in the inside of the headrest(3); a connecting member(200) with a guide rail(210) holding up both ends of the supporting rod(100). A driving motor(400) is connected with a controlling button(300) installed on the side of the outside of the headrest(3) backlashes by impressing electric power. A transferring gear unit(500) coupled with the driving motor(400) slides the headrest from side to side by revising a rotational motion into a linear motion of the driving motor. Therefore, the seat with the sliding headrest promotes safe riding and reduces accidents by relieving effectively the driver's fatigue.
