DISPLAY SYSTEM AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A display system and a controlling method thereof are provided to use a display device near to a user as an input device. CONSTITUTION: The display device(10) includes an input mode selector(24) for selecting an input mode of the user and an input signal processor(26) processing a signal inputted from an input device(50). A monitor controller(20) controls the input signal processor(26) according to the user's selection from the input mode selector(24). The input mode selector(24) selects a computer input mode using the input device(50) connecting to the display device(10) as the input to a computer(1) and a monitor input mode using for controlling the display device(10). The input signal processor performs an interface function receiving an input signal from a mouse(52) and a keyboard(54) connected to the display device(10), and transfers the input signal from the input device(50) to the computer(1) or the monitor controller(20) through an input/output connector(14).
