PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slag washing device by which argillaceous mud adhering to slag can be removed efficiently at a low cost to effectively utilize the slag, and by which the mud can be removed in a good working environment. SOLUTION: This slag washing device comprises a slag feeder provided with a screw discharging the slag, which is fed into a slag supply cylinder from a slag charge device disposed on a frame, from a tip part, a washing trommel comprising a cylindrical frame-shaped washing trommel body rotatably installed on the frame so that the diameter decreases gradually from one end to the other end, where the tip end of the slag supply cylinder is inserted into a through hole in the wall surface of the one end thereof, an outer wall using a slit plate, in which an innumerable number of small slits are formed longitudinally and laterally at prescribed intervals, for covering the outer periphery of the washing trommel body, and a spiral guide plag installed in the outer wall, a washing water tank covering the lower side of the washing trommel and having a drain hole with an on/off valve, and two spray pipes for spraying washing water from the above near to the other end of the washing trommel and from the inside near to the other end thereof.
