PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a trouble that, in a side row fertilizing machine, when a plurality of shutters formed for discharging residual fertilizer are not all surely closed, fertilizing operation is not normally performed to cause irregular fertilization. SOLUTION: In the side row fertilizing machine 30, a plurality of fertilizing units 48 having a fertilizer hopper 49 and a fertilizer-feeding case are placed in parallel. Residual fertilizer output ports 47e, 47e... having a shutter 82 are formed on the fertilizer feeding cases 47, 47..., and the shutter 82 is opened and closed by shifting a shutter opening and closing lever 84, an operational member, between a fertilizing position S and a residual fertilizer-discharging position T. A discharging hose 86 connected to a fertilizer output port 47e and existing at a storage position interferes with a shutter opening and closing lever 84 existing at the residual fertilizer-discharging position T, and it is shifted to the fertilizing position S by going over a dead point of an energizing member 83.
