SOLUTION: A system 30 is a standby power supply system in electrical equipment 1, with a remote control signal reception part 7 for receiving a remote control signal for instructing start and stop, a relay 2 for opening and closing an electric circuit and intermitting power from a commercial power supply, a relay drive circuit 4 for driving the relay 2, and a control part 16 for controlling the relay drive circuit 4. The system 30 is provided with a standby power supply 31 for supplying the drive power of the remote control signal reception part 7, the relay drive circuit 4, and the control part 16 from those other than the commercial power supply on the operation standby of the electrical equipment 1.
