PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothbrush having chevron-shaped tip end surfaces capable of obtaining sufficient brushing effect and insertion feeling by effectively preventing bristles in a pair of adjacent tuftbristles from excessively concentrating to a point in recessed portions of interdental gaps, gums and the like at the time of brushing. SOLUTION: The toothbrush 10 comprises a plurality of tufts 12a and 12b implanted in a bristle base 14, each of which tufts is composed of a plurality of bristles 11. A pair of tufts 12a and 12b, which are inclined reversely to each other in the longitudinal direction X of the toothbrush 10 at the tip ends thereof, are arranged widthwise adjacent to each other but longitudinally out of alignment with respect to the toothbrush 10, so as to look chevron-shaped at the inclined tip end surfaces 16a and 16b thereof appearing in a side view of the toothbrush 10.
