PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a conventional well-known vacuum cleaner for domestic use or the like has a vacuum cleaner body for removing dust by filtering airflow containing dust with a cloth bag, so that passing of suction air through the cloth bag leads to a drop in sucking force due to the resistance of the cloth bag to require an electric motor with higher power in compensation for the resistance, therefore, the vacuum cleaner body has a larger size or a louder noise and lacks usability and convenience. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner has a suction port portion for sucking dust at one end, an operating rod arranged with a handle portion at the other end, and a vacuum cleaner body including a built-in cyclon type dust collecting device for separating the sucked dust with air from the suction port portion into the dust and the air by centrifugal force and accumulating the dust, and the vacuum cleaner body is provided on the operating rod so as to be fixed at a position and freely slided.
