PURPOSE: A control method of exhaust gas in an EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system is provided to minimize the generation of the exhaust gas by restricting the control of an air fuel ratio during a certain period of time at the operation of an EGR valve. CONSTITUTION: In advancing to a control condition of an air fuel ratio according to a driving condition of a vehicle, and the operations of an EGR valve and an MTV(Manifold Throttling Valve)(S100-S120). The operation change of the EGR valve is checked(S130). In changing the operation of the EGR valve, the control of the air fuel ratio during certain time is restricted(S150,S160). Thereby, the excessive discharge of nitrogen complex is prevented and the dilution driving area is extended.
