PURPOSE: A smart gas sensor module is provided to measure a variety of gases economically, simplify a manufacturing process and reduce stocks. CONSTITUTION: A gas sensor(101) outputs an electric signal upon reacting to a gas. A sensor drive circuit(102) allows the gas sensor(101) to stably react to the gas. A first signal processing circuit(103) processes different shapes and sizes of an output signal by gas sensors(101) so as to measure a variety of gases in a single apparatus. A memory device(104) stores major characteristic values of the gas sensor(101), such as correction information, a measuring range, an alarm value, an amplification rate and the like. An address input section(105) sets the address of each module so that a number of smart gas sensor modules are mounted and used in a single apparatus.
