APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR LASER WELDING PIPE

PURPOSE: An apparatus for laser welding pipe is provided which is varied correspondingly to the welding object although a welding object is varied so as to improve welding quality substantially by maintaining welding gap and stepped profile always constantly, and a method for laser welding pipe is provided. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus and method for laser welding pipe comprises a fixed frame; a forming pipe mounting stand that is rested on the upper surface of the fixed frame and installed in such a way that the forming pipe mounting stand is moved along the fixed frame; a housing(501) which is fixed onto the upper surface of the fixed frame and installed in such a manner that the roll forming pipe(101) mounted on the forming pipe mounting stand passes through the housing; a pair of upper fixed rolls(502,503) which are rotationally fixed into the housing and arranged in such a manner that the upper fixed rolls contact press the upper outer circumferential surface of both sides of welding point of the roll forming pipe; a pair of lower fixed rolls which are supported by fixed roll driving parts(506,507) so that position of the lower fixed rolls is moved as the lower fixed rolls are being symmetrical to the upper fixed rolls, and which are arranged so that the lower fixed rolls are contact supported to the lower outer circumferential surface of the roll forming pipe; a welding deformation control roll(508) which is positioned at the front side of the upper fixed rolls and rotationally fixed to the upper wall of both sides of the housing to press the welding part of the roll forming pipe in a certain pressure; and a welding head that is connected to a laser beam oscillator to irradiate laser beam onto the welding part of the roll forming pipe positioned inside the housing between the welding deformation control roll and upper fixed rolls and arranged right above the welding part.
