PURPOSE: An engine bearing is provided to improve lubricating ability by keeping oil film thickness thick on the bearing, to reduce scuffing, and to reduce bearing clearance. CONSTITUTION: Tiny ceramic pieces are shot on a bearing by pneumatic pressure, to form surface roughness of fine flection(2). Oil remains in the flection so the oil film thickness is thickened. Accordingly, lubricating action of the bearing is improved, scuffing and bearing clearance are reduced.
